Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 28, 2026 · Target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Our commitment
The Steve-O Crocodilian Sanctuary is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. A refuge built on compassion should be open to everyone, and we are continually working to improve the experience for every visitor.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
Measures we take
Keyboard accessibility — all interactive elements can be operated with a keyboard, and a visible focus indicator shows where you are on the page.
Skip to content — a “Skip to content” link is the first focusable element on every page.
Semantic structure — proper landmarks and a logical heading order so assistive technology can navigate the page.
Text alternatives — meaningful images carry alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
Reduced motion — if your device requests reduced motion, we disable non-essential animation and smooth-scrolling effects.
Color and contrast — we work to maintain sufficient contrast between text and its background.
Visiting in person
We want every guest to enjoy the sanctuary. For questions about wheelchair access, accessible parking, service animals, sensory considerations, or any accommodation that would make your visit easier, please reach out before you arrive and our team will do everything we can to help.
Feedback & contact
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you experience any difficulty accessing content, or have suggestions, please contact us and we will do our best to help through an alternative method.
Please include the page address (URL) and a description of the problem so we can respond as quickly as possible.
